Who we are

A Legacy in Construction Since the Late 1800s

Our story begins more than a century ago, when Mr. Federico’s four great-grandfathers — each trained in Italy and masters of their craft — immigrated to America in search of a better life. With calloused hands, relentless work ethic, and unwavering pride, they helped shape the physical and cultural foundation of their new home. They didn’t just build structures — they built a legacy.

Gerardo Cugini

Master Stone Mason
Crafted enduring foundations, elegant stone walls, fireplaces, and porches that combined strength with beauty and stood the test of time.

Rico Federico

Railroad Construction Laborer
Helped lay the backbone of America’s early railways, connecting towns and cities through grueling work that instilled endurance and perseverance.

Luigi Franchi

Skilled Bricklayer
Shaped neighborhoods brick by brick, building homes, churches, and community landmarks that brought permanence and character to everyday life.

Francesco Di Duca

General Construction Laborer
Embodied grit and dignity through long hours and heavy loads, proving that even the most humble roles are essential in building something that lasts.

This tradition of craftsmanship, resilience, and purpose was carried forward by Tony Franchi Sr., son of Luigi Franchi, who became one of Massachusetts’ most respected contractors and developers. Throughout his career, Tony transformed hundreds of apartments, homes, schools, college dormitories, high schools, federal buildings, and much more — expanding the family’s legacy of quality, reliability, and vision across generations.

Mr. Federico proudly carries forward his family’s legacy as a distinguished professional in real estate and construction, blending rigorous academic training with hands-on experience. As a Licensed Construction Supervisor (CSL), he brings technical expertise and leadership to every project. A graduate of Boston College, he embraced the Jesuit principle of being “men and women for others,” shaping his commitment to service and community. He went on to pursue a Master of Science in Construction Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology and completed a Real Estate Development Certificate through Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business.

Mr. Federico’s most formative training, however, came not in classrooms but in the field — under the mentorship of his grandfather, Tony Franchi Sr. Working alongside him, he learned every aspect of the business. He absorbed not only the technical knowledge but also the values — discipline, attention to detail, and integrity — that defined his grandfather’s life’s work.

Today, Federico Management carries this legacy forward into a new generation. Our mission remains unchanged from the days when four Italian immigrants first picked up their tools: to build with purpose, manage with care, and deliver with integrity — serving our clients and strengthening our communities for generations to come.
